Lamton aquaguard warranty policy

Floordi Join Stock Company issues warranty pololicy for Lamton Aquaguard Laminate Flooring applied for Nationwide Floordi system as follow:

General warranty provisions

  • The warranty applies to customers who bought products at stores of Floordi Franchise, Floordi authorized Dealer.
  • The warranty applies only to the first installation of the product; does not apply in cases of dismantling, moving products to new works; replacement, repair,…
  • Authorized dealers and Floordi Franchisees are responsible for warranty against installation defects.
  • Floordi Joint Stock Company is responsible for warranty against product defects from the manufacturer.
  • Warranty product is only applies for the first one time replacement (2 years, 3 years, 5 years). In the following year, it is only repair and fix applied. The warranty period in case of product replacement is still calculated from the time of first installation.
  • Flooring models are regularly changed according to yearly design trend. Therefore, the replacement of the product is only applicable if the product you originally purchased is still at Floordi’s warehouse. In case the product code to be replaced is out of stock, customer can choose a new color code of equivalent value available from Floordi to replace.
  • Warranty only applies in case of replacement or repair, not refund or compensation.

Warranty period:

  • Standard warranty from the manufacturer: 15 years
  • Water resistant warranty: 24 hours (Thickness expansion is not > 10%)
  • Termite warranty: 15 years

Cases covered by warranty policy

Floordi Join Stock Company is responsible for providing warranty for defect products caused by manufacturers:

  • Defect products caused by manufacturers:  The boards are not uniform in size, the click between the boards is deviated, cannot be fit together.
  • HDF core quality warranty: Laminate floors are warped, shrinking during use under normal conditions.
  • Surface: Laminate floors got color fade without regularly exposed to direct sunlight.
  • Click system: Warranty on defective clicks such as squeaking, opening, drifting or sliding in the condition that the floor is not humid (the floor humidity ≤ 18%) or is not flooded.
  • Flooded products: Warranty applies in case the product is flooded for maximum 24 hours. 100% of the boards damaged by expansion in thickness ≤ 10% will be replaced.
  • Defect products caused by termite: Provides products to replace boards eaten by termites. 15-year termite warranty since construction completion.

According to the actual situation, customers and suppliers discuss together. If the defects are caused by products, Floordi Franchises and Dealers are responsible for checking, offering customer a reasonable warranty plan. Defective products will be repaired or replaced in case it is covered by warranty policy and confirmed.

The warranty does not apply or apply with charge under the following circumstances

  • Product is out of warranty.
  • The warranty does not apply to defective products, damaged by natural disasters, floods, fires or intentionally repaired or installed in unoccupied works or projects were not preserved within 12 months from installation time.
  • The warranty card is not activated by the seller on Floordi’s warranty system Guard.floordi.com.
  • The warranty does not apply to defective products that have been put into service under abnormal conditions or repaired to an abandoned or closed works for many months without use. Installed outdoors or in areas not specified by the manufacturer.
  • The floors got color fade caused by chemicals or direct sunlight shining through glass doors, glass walls…
  • Do not surface warranty – including but not limited to: scratches, peeling, deformation, normal atrophy and to the followings:
    • Dragging heavy objects, sharp irons on the floor surface; heavy objects such as hammers, screwdrivers falling to break and scratch, etc
    • The product is flooded for more than 24 hours.

Lamton AquaGuard warranty process in case of flooded & termite attacked:

The product is flooded for 24 hours:

In time of product is flooded for maximum 24 hours, customers should immediately call the sales unit to arrange for a technician who check and remove the floor as well as carry out the necessary warranty procedures.

  • Step 1: To clean the floor surface, proceed to remove the wooden floor to dry.
  • Step 2: To move the boards to a dry, well-ventilated area and do not expose to direct sunlight within 5-7 days. At the same time, open the door of the flooded room, use fan to dry the concrete floor, ensure that the concrete floor moisture is ≤ 12% before reinstalling.
  • Step 3: To check the laminate flooring after drying and reinstalling. It is necessary to replace the underlayment if using normal PE (white foam), silver coated PE (silver foam). If using  Silhero, It just need to dry and clean before reused.
  • Step 4: In reinstallation process, we will add new panels if there are any boards that cannot restore themselves and have a swelling bigger than 2mm compared to the original thickness (8mm or 8.3mm for 8mm floor series); (12mm or 12.3mm for 12mm floor series).
  • The cost of dismantling and reinstalling flooded floor will be paid by the customer to sales store. The cost fluctuates around of 50,000 VND/m2. This part of cost you can negotiate directly with the seller.

Note:

  • Flooded floor will inevitably have tiny warts on the surface. If each wart’s dia is less than 1mm, no new application will be made.
  • Warranty is only applicable if the work is confirmed by the sales unit that the flooded time is follow warranty policy

The product is attacked by termite:

When detecting that the floor eaten by termites, customers should immediately call the sales unit to arrange for a technician who check and remove the floor as well as carry out the necessary warranty procedures:

  • Step 1: To remove accessories and bars to check the termite-eaten wooden bars (if any) Floordi will provide materials to replace 100% of the bars damaged by termites.
  • Step 2: To check accessories such as skirtings (HDF, MDF), underlayment and clean the floor surface for re-installation. Note: Accessories are not covered by the warranty in this case.

The cost of dismantling and reinstalling termites attacked floor will be paid by the customer to sales store. The cost fluctuates around of 30,000 VND/m2. This part of cost you can negotiate directly with the seller.
